Influencer denounces man scratched her vehicle for not paying 500 pesos for parking at the Olympic Center

Santo Domingo. - Influencer Pamela Villanueva Peña, known as “La Roja”, reported being a victim of vandalism after refusing to pay an alleged illegal charge for parking at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center in Santo Domingo where she went to visit the Christmas attraction Villa Navidad. The incident occurred in one of the areas used as parking within the enclosure.

According to a video posted on his social media, an unidentified man approached him to demand RD$500 as a condition to allow him to park. Villanueva stated that the amount seemed abusive and out of place, as it is a public space and a government event where parking fees were never announced.

During that recording, the content creator expressed her annoyance and concern by saying verbatim: "I'll tell you that we came here to Villa Navidad, this is something public from the government and a man is charging us 500 pesos for parking, I don't know if I would have given it to him if he had told me 200, maybe I would have given it to him, but this seems like too much, not even in private establishments or shopping centers do you pay a peso, I hope he doesn't scratch the bus because if he scratches the bus I'm going to find out who he is." After refusing to hand over the money, Villanueva continued his visit to the place without any major visible incidents, although he stated in his video that he feared possible reprisals due to the man's insistence and the lack of official supervision in the area. The situation caused concern among her followers, as according to the report, upon returning to her vehicle, the influencer discovered that the vehicle had obvious scratches, which she interpreted as a deliberate action related to the previous dispute over payment. She immediately made the complaint public, showing images of the damage, which sparked a wave of outrage on social media from people who, like her, have been affected by the actions of vandals who have taken over the parking lot of the important place as a space to profit illegally.
