Beirut.- At least seven people died and ten others were injured this Thursday in two Israeli bombings against the Bekaa Valley, in eastern Lebanon, amid an intensification of its actions coinciding with attempts to disarm the Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah.

Shortly before, another bombing had targeted the also eastern locality of Kfar Dan, in the district of Baalbek, where a seventh person perished, according to the same governmental department. Despite the cessation of hostilities agreed upon by both countries last November, Israel has continued to attack Lebanese territory with bombings that it often claims are directed against members of Hezbollah or infrastructure belonging to that movement. Last night, Israel carried out a wave of air strikes against various points in southern Lebanon, which caused the death of a Syrian citizen in the area of "Deir Syrian," according to the official report. The Israeli army said in a statement that its actions were directed against weapons depots, a launcher, and facilities with engineering tools for the rehabilitation of infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah.
