Milei celebrated the U.S. bombing of Venezuela: "Freedom advances"

The President of the Nation Javier Milei, made public his approval of the military operation that the United States deployed in Venezuela, within the framework of the events that included explosions and air attacks in several areas of the Venezuelan capital. Through his social media, Milei celebrated the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, an event that had been announced shortly before by former US President Donald Trump and disseminated on various digital platforms. The Argentine head of state supported the action and wrote: "Freedom advances. Long live freedom, damn it!", in a publication that quickly went viral among his followers.

Milei's post came after Trump confirmed that US forces carried out a large-scale attack on Venezuelan territory and that Maduro was captured and taken out of the country with his wife. In parallel, other voices from the Argentine government, such as Patricia Bullrich, also expressed their support for the operation and highlighted that, in their view, this action opens a path towards the "freedom" of Venezuela. The publications were made amidst a context of strong explosions, aircraft overflights, and attacks on Venezuelan military installations, which generated a scenario of tension and shock in Caracas and other nearby regions.
