New York, June 15 (EFE).- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed this Sunday the death of the head of intelligence of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Mohamad Kazemi, and his number two, Hasán Mohaqeq, in Tehran.
"A few moments ago, we caught the head of intelligence and his deputy in Tehran because now our pilots are over the skies (of the city) and we are attacking military and nuclear sites," Netanyahu expressed in a video conference interview with Fox News.
Netanyahu stated that, "unlike" Israel, Iran "is attacking and bombing our civilians": "They are a terrorist regime. We cannot allow Iran to have nuclear weapons. Our intelligence shows that they intend to give these weapons to their allies, the Houthis."
In the interview with Fox, the Israeli prime minister insisted that Iran had a secret plan to weaponize uranium.
In this sense, he assured that Israeli intelligence services discovered that Iran had enough uranium to build nine nuclear bombs: "We stopped that by attacking their nuclear sites. We attacked their nuclear scientists, who are like the ones Hitler had."
And he avoided confirming that the United States would veto an Israeli plan to kill Iran's supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, information that Reuters reported and Fox News confirmed.
In addition, he referred to the nuclear talks between the US and Iran, in which another meeting was scheduled today that Tehran ultimately canceled due to Israeli attacks.
"The president (Donald Trump) was very clear. (Iran) deceived everyone (...). We are willing to do whatever it takes to eliminate two threats, that of ballistic missiles and the nuclear one," he said.
On the night of Thursday to Friday, Israel launched an extensive offensive against Iran and since then more than 100 people have died in this country, including members of the military leadership and nuclear scientists who were working on the country's uranium enrichment projects.
Last night, Israeli projectiles hit at least two energy facilities in Tehran in the early hours of Sunday, while Iran launched two waves of missiles and drones against the Jewish state.
Israeli media confirmed attacks at two points in the country, one in Bat Yam, south of Tel Aviv, and another in Shephelah, west of Jerusalem, which caused the death of eight people and injuries to 150.
