Caminero was key in the triumph by tying the score with his home run against reliever Seranthony Domínguez, in addition to driving in another run later in the game. From the mound, Nick Martinez had a solid performance against his former team, working eight innings in which he allowed just one run and struck out five batters. The right-hander, who signed with Tampa Bay in the offseason, earned his first win of the year and was instrumental in cutting the team's three-game losing streak. The Rays took control of the game early against starting pitcher Brandon Williamson. In the second inning, they took advantage of the left-hander's control problems to score three runs, highlighted by a run-scoring single from Yandy Díaz, who finished the day with three hits. Tampa Bay's attack remained constant, with additional contributions from Ryan Vilade and Caminero himself, who once again took center stage with the bat. For Cincinnati, the electrifying shortstop Elly De La Cruz couldn't replicate his performance from the previous game and went hitless in three at-bats. With this result, the Rays avoided being swept at home and got back on the path to victory, supported by Caminero's power and Martínez's dominance from the mound.
