Kelce, 36 years old, widely surpassed the quarterback of the Buffalo Bills, Josh Allen, who came in second with 263,127 votes. Despite going through one of the most discreet campaigns of his 13-season NFL career, the veteran continues to be one of the most popular players among fans. The popularity of the Chiefs' tight end has been boosted not only by his athletic performance — which includes three Super Bowl titles—, but also by his relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift, made public at the end of 2023. Since then, his media impact has been remarkable. In September of that year, sales of Kelce's number 87 jersey increased by 400% following Swift's appearances at Kansas City games. Subsequently, on August 27, after the couple announced their engagement on social media —a post that surpassed 28 million "likes" in less than 24 hours—, sales of the player's uniform registered another increase of 200%. According to data from Nielsen, Swift's presence at the Chiefs' games attracted a female audience between 12 and 17 years old, with a growth of 53% in that segment, significantly expanding the reach of American football. Considered one of the best tight ends in NFL history, Travis Kelce was selected by the Chiefs in the "third round of the 2013 Draft". Among his multiple records are: "174 receptions in playoffs", "20 touchdowns in postseason" —the most for a tight end— and "1,416 receiving yards in a single season", a leading figure in his position. Kelce has been called to the Pro Bowl 10 times, has four All-Pro selections and is now looking for his eleventh participation in the traditional event. The official rosters for the American Conference and the National Conference for the Pro Bowl on February 3rd will be announced this Tuesday.
