Santo Domingo, R.D. – The legendary Dominican former pitcher Pedro Martínez was the special guest on the podcast “Yayo Pinto”, hosted by the politician Yayo Sanz Lovatón, where he shared a deep reflection on the challenges of success and sent a powerful message to Dominican youth.

During the conversation, Pedro urged the young people to get rid of fear as the first step to achieving any goal. "Anything they want to do in life, the first thing is to get rid of fear," expressed the member of the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Martínez also spoke about the duality of success and failure, remembering that although today he is admired and recognized as “Pedro the good” and “Pedro the best pitcher”, he also faced defeats throughout his career. “Everyone who competes, in any sport, will have moments of success, but also moments of loss. The important thing is how you get up,” he highlighted.

The former baseball player emphasized that failure is part of the journey and should not be feared. “Everyone who is successful in any area, at some point failed. The difference lies in how you recover, in saying to yourself: 'I failed, but I gave it my all for that game, I respected it'”, he maintained.

With these statements, Pedro Martínez not only shared part of his personal experience, but also left a valuable lesson about the importance of perseverance, respect, and mindset when facing life's challenges.
