The recent floods, as a consequence of the latest rains fallen in a large part of the country, affected about 2,000 tasks of rice and banana in the Northwest Line, mainly to the municipal district Palo Verde. Prior to the meeting, the Head of State took an aerial tour to observe the situation and verify the reservoirs of the dams Guayubín, Hatillo, Monción and Taveras, in the company of the director of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources (Indrhi), Olmedo Caba, and the senator for the province of Espaillat, Carlos Gómez. We went from 4 to 6 hours of electricity generation in the case of the generating dams and the water has also been discharged prudently, in such a way that it does not cause major damage,” expressed the ruler. After contacting the situation of the bridge in Castañuelas, the president approached a group of municipal officials who raised several concerns to which he promised to give the follow-up and support necessary for their solution.
