United States.- On Wednesday night, singer Britney Spears was arrested after driving under the influence of alcohol in Ventura County, California, as confirmed by TMZ.
The 42-year-old artist was taken to police facilities and released on Thursday afternoon, according to the Ventura County Sheriff's Office inmate records. Spears must appear in court on May 4th.
Following the arrest, Spears deleted her Instagram profile. The episode adds to a string of controversies that have accompanied the singer since she regained legal control over her life and assets.
