New York.- Agents from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), covering their faces, made an arrest on Saturday night in New York, an incident that turned into chaos when community residents in the Brooklyn district came out to protest by throwing trash cans into the street, which required the intervention of the Police.
It is unknown at this time who the person arrested is and why ICE entered the hospital in the Bushwick community, where, according to a video, a man ran in while being chased by an immigration agent.
According to the images, dozens of people are in the street protesting and throwing garbage while the City Police try to calm the spirits. At that moment, shortly after two in the morning, local time, two ICE agents leave the hospital carrying a black man, who resists being arrested and is dragged away.
Upon descending some stairs from the hospital entrance, he is placed on the ground face up, handcuffed, without shoes, with his hands in front of him and with the hospital wristband.
"He came out pointing the gun at everyone," a witness told the amNewYork newspaper about one of the immigration agents. "They were dragging a black man handcuffed on the ground," he stated.

The police say he has not cooperated
While the two agents remain by their side, the Police continue trying to make their way through the furious protesters who throw garbage and record the scene.
The video also shows the moment when the officers lift the man, who continues to resist, and with difficulty, place him in the back seat of a car while the uniformed officers are heard ordering the public to step back.
The presence of the Police has caused outrage since New York is a «sanctuary» city for immigrants that does not cooperate with immigration authorities, unless there is an arrest warrant authorized by a judge.
The Police assures that they have not cooperated and that their presence there was due to the fact that they were called because the protest became violent and blocked the vehicular passage.
According to amNewYork, which cites the Police, the night ended with nine arrests and indicates that the ICE vehicle, which accelerated its pace through the crowd, ran over a person, but their health condition is not indicated.
Likewise, some, including a police officer and an agent, were injured by pepper spray thrown by a federal agent, according to the digital newspaper.
In the video, one of the officers guarding the detainee holds a black container in his hands that is believed to be pepper spray. The city's mayor, Zohran Mamdani, has not yet commented on the incident.
