Disney released the official trailer for a television special of The Muppets that marks the return of the iconic format of The Muppet Show, within the framework of the celebration of its 50th anniversary. The event will feature the special participation of singer and actress Sabrina Carpenter. The special will premiere on the next February 4th and will be broadcast simultaneously on the ABC network and the Disney+ platform in the United States. The production recovers the classic theater setting where the Muppets offered their traditional variety show, combining music, comedy and appearances by special guests. In the presented preview, the characters led by Gustavo, Miss Piggy, Gonzo and Fozzie try to raise the curtain again for a special night, in a proposal that works as a pilot episode with a view to a possible renewal of the program in a full season format.
