Edesur Dominicana put into service a new and modern transformer in the Bani Per electrical substation, in the province of Peravia, which now has an installed power of 40 megavolt-amperes (MVA), which allows for more operational leeway to meet the growing demand for energy and improve the stability of the electrical service in that area.
The powerful transformer installed, which replaces another of 30 MVA, will operate with voltage levels at 69/12.8 kilovolts (kV).
The adjustments made at the Baní Per electrical substation will positively impact more than 31,000 users.
Through the infrastructure, electrical energy is supplied to circuits BANP101, BANP102, BANP103, and BANP104, which provide electricity to the city center (partial) and to the sectors 30 de mayo, Los Melones, Luz Marina, Máximo Gómez, El Maní, La Monería, La Saona, Los Cajuilitos, El Fundo, Guazuma 2da., Los Barracones, Villa Guera, La Monería, and Pueblo Nuevo (partial).
Also, Santa Elena, José del Carmen, Los Framboyanes, Erneisa, Pájaro Herido, Rafa Pimentel, Villa Real, San José, Don Luis, Dulce María, María del Carmen, Peravia, Los Agrónomos, Costa Sur, Matanzas, Washington and others.
These works are part of the long-term expansion plan that Edesur Dominicana is developing as part of its commitment to offer a stable and optimal supply to its customers, ensuring operational reliability.
