New Jersey. – Last Saturday, September 6, the stage of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) vibrated with the energy and talent of Héctor Acosta “El Torito”, who presented his concert “Mi Historia Musical”, a show that became a true celebration of Dominican music.
"I am a man of Faith. All glory and honor is for God, I am here because of Him, because of your prayers, because of the knees that you all gave, but above all things, because of my Faith," expressed El Torito visibly moved when addressing the crowd.
From the first few minutes, the audience witnessed a striking opening that ignited euphoria and provoked seemingly endless ovations. The attendees, who packed the prestigious theater, defied the weather conditions to accompany the artist on an unforgettable night.
One of the most memorable moments was the musical tribute to Los Toros Band, a group with which Acosta marked a golden age in merengue. This tribute was followed by a journey through the great hits of his repertoire, moving from merengue to bachata and even surprising with interpretations of rancheras. The atmosphere was transformed into an authentic popular party within the NJPAC.
The concert also featured luxury guests who reinforced the grandeur of the evening: Bachata Heightz, Frank Reyes, Joe Veras, El Prodigio and Frandy Sax took to the stage to sing alongside their friend, adding emotions and complicity with the audience.
The closing was as spectacular as the beginning: El Torito acknowledged his musicians to the audience, then descended from the stage and walked through the crowd to the theater exit, unleashing an ovation that turned the end into a human caravan never before seen at the NJPAC.
With "My Musical History," Héctor Acosta reaffirms his position as one of the most influential and beloved artists of the Dominican Republic, capable of filling international stages and conquering hearts of diverse nationalities.
The show was produced by Zamora Live, under the direction of a team that achieved an impeccable staging. Following this success, a new event is already anticipated: El Torito will join Zacarías Ferreira for a concert at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, promising another night of history for Dominican music.
