The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic published the reference prices for the purchase and sale of the euro for this Tuesday, January 20, 2026, as follows:
In Financial Entities, the buying rate was positioned at RD$72.05, while the selling rate closed at RD$76.38.
These values reflect an appreciation of the Dominican peso of 0.38% in the purchase and 0.36% in the sale compared to the value of three days ago.
In Remittance and Exchange Agents, the euro was quoted at a buying rate of RD$72.61 and a selling rate of RD$74.83.
In what has transpired so far in the year 2026, the trend has been one of recovery for the Dominican peso. Since the close of 2025, when the buying rate was RD$72.48 in banks and RD$73.21 in exchange agents, the peso has managed to appreciate by 0.59% and 0.82% respectively against the European currency.
