Euro prices in the Dominican Republic for this Wednesday, August 20, 2025

The Central Bank set the reference purchase and sale prices of the Euro for this Wednesday, August 20, 2025, as follows:

• Financial Entities:

    ⦾ Euro Buying Rate: It stood at RD$70.44 Dominican pesos.

• Euro Selling Rate: Reached RD$74.9817 Dominican pesos.

• Remittance and Exchange Agents:

    ⦾ Euro Buying Rate: It was recorded at RD$71.45 Dominican pesos.

    ⦾ Euro Selling Rate: It was RD$73.50 Dominican pesos.

The Dominican foreign exchange market closed the day of August 19, 2025 with euro buying and selling rates that show slight variations compared to the previous day and depreciation trends in the medium and long term, according to a survey conducted by the International Department, Sub-Directorate of Domestic Exchange Affairs, Division of Statistics and Regulation of the Foreign Exchange Market, of the Central Bank.

Looking back, the euro has shown a tendency to depreciate in the medium and long term against the Dominican peso:

• Compared to 1 month ago: The buying and selling rates in financial institutions and remittance agents have experienced depreciations ranging from 2.79% to 3.38%.

• Regarding the end of 2024: Depreciation has been more pronounced, varying between 11.89% and 12.23%.

• Compared to 1 year ago: The rates show depreciations in the range of 9.62% to 10.00%.
