Santo Domingo. - The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) reported that this Wednesday, during the morning hours, a fresh and favorable environment will prevail, with little rain, in a large part of the national territory, as a result of an anticyclonic system. However, the institution explained that, in the afternoon, a slight increase in temperatures is expected, as well as the occurrence of local showers, with a probability of thunderstorms and isolated wind gusts, due to the wind drag and the incidence of a trough located over Puerto Rico. These precipitations will occur mainly in sectors of La Altagracia, Samaná, Monte Plata, Sánchez Ramírez, Monseñor Nouel, Espaillat, Santiago Rodríguez, San José de Ocoa and Gran Santo Domingo.

Regarding maritime conditions, on the Atlantic coast, from Cabo San Rafael (La Altagracia) to Miches (El Seibo), the entity recommended that operators of fragile, small, and medium-sized vessels remain in port. On the rest of the coast, it is advised to navigate with caution near the coastal perimeter, without venturing out to sea, due to abnormal wind and waves. Regarding temperatures, Indomet specified that these will remain cool during the night and early morning, mainly in mountainous areas and valleys in the interior of the country, where occasional fogs and mists could occur. The Indomet recommended that the population stay tuned to weather information through its official channels: indomet.gob.do and the account @indometrd on social media.
