Iran announces attacks against five US military bases and Israeli cities

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard reported this Saturday that it has attacked five US military bases in the Middle East region and cities in Israel such as Tel Aviv and Haifa. According to the statement from the Iranian elite military corps, Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia; Al Dhafra in the United Arab Emirates; Ali al Salem in Kuwait; Erbil in Iraqi Kurdistan; and the Fifth Naval Fleet in Bahrain were "successfully" attacked. These bases were targeted in attacks carried out with Qiyam and Emad missile systems, as well as a drone, repeatedly in the last few hours. Both Bahrain, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia have reported intercepting drones and missiles recently. In Israel, the main targets were Haifa and Tel Aviv, in attacks in which the Revolutionary Guard used Jorramshahr 4 and Qadr missiles.

This new wave of attacks comes after US President Donald Trump assured that the United States is "very close to achieving" its goals in the war it has been waging with Israel against Iran since last February 28. These are the degradation of the Iranian missile capabilities, the destruction of the country's defense industry, the elimination of its Navy and Air Force, and preventing Iran from achieving a nuclear weapon, Trump declared.
