Italian Luca Marini will remain an official rider for Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) for the 2026 MotoGP World Championship season, according to an agreement made public today by the Japanese manufacturer.
In 2025, the Italian has made a significant step forward with the Honda RC213V, scoring points in every race he has participated in and more than tripling his 2024 score after the first twelve rounds, with a fifth place in the Hungarian Grand Prix as his best result.
"I am very happy to continue at Honda HRC and we have only been working on some final details, both HRC management and myself have been in agreement about the future for quite some time," Marini acknowledges in the team's statement.
"I am totally committed to this project and determined to help Honda get back to the front of the MotoGP World Championship and since I joined the team in 2024 we have continued to improve and work together in an increasingly better way," assures the Italian rider.
"Working with a factory, and especially with a factory like Honda HRC, gives you great motivation as a rider and even more so with the good season we've had so far and in which the goal remains to keep improving until the last lap in Valencia," adds Luca Marini in the note.
