Mercedes-Benz sold 10% less in 2025 than a year before

Frankfurt (Germany).- The Mercedes-Benz group sold 2,160,000 vehicles in 2025, 10% less than in 2024, following the drop in all price segments and in all regions. Mercedes-Benz announced today that sales of the brand's passenger cars with the star fell last year to 1,800,800 units (-9% compared to 2024) and those of vans fell to 359,100 units (11%). Mercedes-Benz electric vehicle sales decreased in 2025 to 197,300 units (-4%). The president of the Mercedes-Benz group, Ola Källenius, said that "2025 marks the starting signal for the largest offensive of product and technology from Mercedes-Benz with the newest electric propulsion systems and intelligent software". Mercedes-Benz passenger car sales fell last year in Europe (-1%), in China (-19%) due to strong competition, and in the U.S. (-12%) due to tariffs, but rose in South America (+54%).

Sales of Models in the Top-End Segment

Sales of models in the Top-End segment, the luxury range such as the Mercedes-AMG, Mercedes-Maybach, the G-Class, the S-Class, the GLS, the EQS and the EQS SUV, fell last year to 268,000 units (-5% compared to the previous year). Deliveries in the Core segment, of all derivatives of the C and E Class, the EQC, the EQE and the EQE SUV, fell last year to 1,049,000 units (-10% year-on-year). Sales in the entry segment, such as those from Class A and B, and the electric EQA, worsened to 483,300 units (-10%).
