A 15-year-old teenager who had been reported missing since April 15th was rescued by police officers during an operation carried out in the El Verde sector, in Bonao, Monseñor Nouel province.
The minor was found inside a warehouse located on a banana farm, in the Caribbean community, where she was allegedly held against her will.
During the intervention, the authorities arrested Yeison Alejo Marte, identified as the main person involved in the kidnapping and who was wanted by a court order for crimes related to sexual abuse and violations of the Penal Code and the Law for the Protection of Children and Adolescents.
According to the official report, the detainee was injured in both legs after confronting the officers with a homemade weapon during the operation, for which he was transferred under custody to a health center in Bonao.

Also arrested at the scene were two other men, identified as Reinaldo Núñez Castro and Charles Mohamed, who are being investigated to determine their possible connection to the case.
The teenager was handed over to the Prosecutor's Office for Children and Adolescents, which assumed her protection, while the detainees will be presented before the Public Ministry for the corresponding legal proceedings.
Authorities reported that investigations remain open, while reiterating their commitment to confront these types of crimes and protect the integrity of minors.
