The Mobile Kitchens installed in different communities and sectors of the country also served a special menu on the occasion of the holiday.
Santo Domingo – The general director of the Dominican State Economic Dining Rooms (CEED), Edgar Augusto Féliz Méndez, reported that the program “Cocinando Pa`Mamá”, carried out throughout the country, delivered two million 300 thousand buffet-style lunch rations to more than 5 thousand civil society organizations.
“En principio pensábamos que estaríamos sirviendo unos 2 millones de raciones de almuerzos y cenas tipo buffet, pero la demanda fue mayor y es imposible dejar a una iglesia, una junta de vecino o un club deportivo o cultural sin los insumos para la realización de sus fiestas para agasajar a las madres”, declaró el funcionario.

For an entire week, the Economic Dining Halls served, through community leaders and social organizations, special buffet-style lunches and dinners as part of the activities organized by the central government through different institutions of the Dominican State to celebrate mothers.
The CEO of CEED said that the reception these programs have had among the Dominican population and the positive impact is worthy of being recognized and valued.“Fueron muchas las madres que disfrutaron de un agasajo de una celebración, que pudieron degustar un rico almuerzo como se merecen sin importar su condición social como es el interés del presidente Abinader”, señaló Féliz Méndez.
