Most Dominicans think this year will be better than the last for their economy

43.1% of Dominicans think that this year 2026 will be better than the previous year for them and their families in the economic aspect, according to the first Markestrategia survey conducted this year.

While 19.6% of respondents think that this year will be "as good" as the previous one.

However, 13.9% believe that 2026 will be as bad as 2025, 19.5% think it will be worse, and 9.9% did not respond or do not know.

This survey was applied to 1,200 respondents, for a confidence level of 95% and a national sampling error of ± 2.8%.

Markestrategia is a polling firm founded in 2011. Since then, it has participated in all electoral processes in the Dominican Republic.

Its director is Guillermo Mateo, a statistician with a master's degree in Economic Statistics and a postgraduate degree in Data Processing from the Latin American Demographic Center in Santiago, Chile.
