Noval Properties promotes the Dominican Republic as the guest of honor country at SIMA 2026

Santo Domingo. - In an announcement that marks a turning point for national real estate development, the Madrid Real Estate Exhibition (SIMA) officially designated the Dominican Republic as "Guest of Honor Country" for its 2026 edition, consolidating the country as a strategic benchmark for tourist and residential real estate in Latin America and the Caribbean. As is tradition, for more than two decades, the vast pavilions of IFEMA Madrid open their doors each year to buyers and investors who meet at this major event in the construction and real estate sector in Europe. In its last two editions, the Dominican Republic has stood out with a representative stand of the most innovative projects and developments, strengthening the concept of Real Estate Tourism. This is why, from May 20 to 23, 2026, this presence will be elevated to the highest level, being honored with the title of "Guest Country", which implies a leading participation with a large pavilion, exhibiting its main attractions in terms of real estate: important benefits, political and economic stability, legal security, high profitability and capital gains, in addition to tax exemptions that allow offering competitive prices compared to other destinations in the region. The announcement was officially made by Eloy Bohúa Fernández, CEO of Planner Exhibitions and the main architect of the Madrid Real Estate Exhibition (SIMA), during the X Latin American Real Estate Congress CILA, held in Punta Cana. Subsequently, the main top real estate producers, as well as prominent figures in the sector and representatives of the press, met at a gala dinner at the Catalonia Hotel in Santo Domingo on August 26, with the exclusive sponsorship of the prestigious construction and development company Noval Properties and the support of Alter Estate, one of the most far-reaching platforms for digital real estate promotion. "This designation represents a unique opportunity to continue positioning the Dominican Republic before the world as a reliable, stable, and highly competitive destination for real estate investment," said César Latrilla, CEO of Noval Properties, during his speech at the meeting. SIMA is the main international real estate fair in the Iberian market and one of the most influential in the global real estate ecosystem. Each year, it brings together hundreds of developers, investment funds, brokers, public authorities, and specialized media from Europe, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East. The presence of the Dominican Republic at SIMA 2026 will be a unique opportunity to strengthen commercial and investment relations with Spain, a historical partner with a strong presence in our tourist destinations, and with the rest of Europe, reinforcing the country's positioning as a leading destination for real estate investment. Being designated as a guest country is not a mere formality: it is a privileged platform for exposure, where the Dominican Republic will be able to: Present your real estate offer to high-profile institutional investors.
Generate new business alliances with European players.
Promote your tourist and urban destinations from an investment perspective.
Consolidate your country brand in strategic markets such as Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, and France. This participation comes at a time of high maturity for the Dominican market. With a constantly growing tourism sector, macroeconomic stability, and a favorable legal framework, the country awakens the interest of international investors seeking real estate assets with real profitability and professionalized management.
