Palacio de Bellas Artes has the lights on to open its doors to FITE 2025

Santo Domingo.– The Palacio de Bellas Artes is illuminated and ready to welcome the public of the XII Dominican Republic International Theater Festival 2025 (FITE RD 2025), which will begin this Sunday, October 19, under the slogan “We are all theater”, with Spain as the guest country and dedicated to the cultural manager Freddy Ginebra. The General Directorate of Fine Arts (DGBA) reported that the general electrical system of its Palace, which had been affected by a short circuit, was restored last Friday with high-power electrical generators to resume daily work and all scheduled activities during this weekend. Thanks to the adjustments and measures implemented by the technical staff, the institution guaranteed the stability and continuity of the electrical service in the Palace of Fine Arts, while work is being carried out to optimize the system and ensure its full operation.

Fine Arts reiterated its commitment to safety, operational efficiency, and transparency in all its processes, while expressing its gratitude for the understanding and support of the artists, students, collaborators, and the general public, who are part of the cultural life of the emblematic venue. The FITE RD 2025 will take place from October 19 to 30, with the participation of national and international theater companies and a program that includes presentations in Santo Domingo, Santiago, Puerto Plata, San Cristóbal, Azua, San Juan, Elías Piña and La Romana.
