Santo Domingo. – The ProUsuario application, developed by the Superintendency of Banks (SB), surpassed 500,000 registered users, consolidating itself as one of the main digital tools for guidance and protection for users of the Dominican financial system.
With a total of 503,200 registered users, the platform that allows remote access to the Office of Services and User Protection (ProUsuario), continues to expand its reach and democratize access to key financial information, regardless of the citizen's geographic location.
Launched in October 2021, the application has served as a bridge between the population and the banking supervisory body. According to data provided by the SB, 27% of the claims managed through the app come from users outside Greater Santo Domingo, while 6% correspond to residents of the Deep South and the Northwest Line, evidencing its impact in areas traditionally more distant from administrative centers.
Statistics also reveal that 48% of interactions between citizens and the Superintendency are carried out through the application and other digital means, confirming the growing preference for virtual channels over face-to-face attention.
