Qatar dismantled two espionage cells linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guard

In the context of the attacks launched by the United States and Israel against the Iranian regime, the authorities of Qatar reported that they managed to dismantle two espionage cells linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. According to the official Qatar News agency, the operation was carried out during the early hours of Wednesday, in a context of maximum regional tension, after Tehran again launched missiles and drones in the Gulf for the fourth consecutive day, as retaliation for the American and Israeli bombings. According to the statement released by the Qatari authorities, ten people were arrested as part of the investigation. Seven of the suspects had as their main mission to collect sensitive information about critical infrastructure and military targets within the country, while three others were destined to carry out sabotage actions.

The official report adds that, during the interrogations, the detainees acknowledged their connection to the Iranian regime and admitted to having received direct instructions to carry out espionage and covert operations in Qatari territory.
