The Empresa de Transmisión Eléctrica Dominicana (ETED) reports that, since last night at 7:30 p.m., a fault occurred in the transmission line affecting the province of Monte Plata.

From the moment of the event, ETED brigades are working tirelessly to locate and resolve the fault. However, the work has been severely hampered by adverse weather conditions in the area, including heavy rains, closed access roads, and the rising of rivers and streams, which has prevented locating the exact point of the breakdown during the night.

As part of the repair work, this morning the LT 69 Dajao-Monte Plata line is being surveyed with drones to detect the fault.

The areas affected by this interruption are:

Monte Plata, Bayaguana, Sabana Grande De Boyá, Monte Plata Solar Photovoltaic Park.

The brigades are working hard to restore service to the residents of the affected area in the shortest possible time.

ETED apologizes to customers and residents for any inconvenience this situation may cause them.
