Santo Domingo.– The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (INDOMET) reported that for this weekend a variable weather pattern is expected in Santo Domingo and its surroundings, marked by intervals of sun, increased cloudiness and scattered rain episodes.
The forecast indicates that mostly sunny conditions will prevail during the mornings, while local showers with isolated thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon, due to the combination of humidity carried by the east/southeast wind and the effects of daytime heating.
The temperatures will remain hot, with highs between 32 °C and 34 °C, so the population is advised to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun. At night and early morning, the lows will range between 23 °C and 25 °C.

Regarding the marine report, INDOMET suggests caution to operators of small and medium-sized vessels on the Caribbean coast, due to waves between 3 and 5 feet and moderate winds of up to 20 km/h. In the northern zone, conditions will be more favorable, allowing aquatic activities without major inconveniences.
The institution reiterated that, in the event of weather alerts being issued, these will be communicated immediately to protect lives and property.
