Solar storm forms; they assure it poses no danger

Santo Domingo. – In the last 24 hours a giant hole has opened in the sun, generating a "Pareidolia" in the shape of a butterfly: in the dark patch, the solar wind has escaped into space, as revealed by the weather expert, Jean Suriel, who highlighted that this does not represent any danger to humanity since the Earth's magnetic field protects against solar storms.

In that sense, since the spot is now facing Earth, it is in the path of the fast solar particles that could reach it this weekend.

On the other hand, Suriel reported that this solar wind can trigger geomagnetic storms (level G1-G2), which means the opportunity to see auroras at higher latitudes and possible minor disruptions in radio or satellites.

The very hot temperatures in the Dominican Republic will continue in the coming days, not because of these solar flares, but because we are in the most suffocating period of the year.
