Washington.- The President of the United States, Donald Trump, assured this Friday that Iran “will never have a nuclear weapon” and stated that the conflict with Tehran “will be resolved soon”, amid the military and diplomatic tensions that keep the international community on alert.
Trump reiterated that preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons continues to be a red line for Washington and defended the diplomatic and military pressures promoted by his administration to force an agreement. The president's statements come as the United States and its allies are holding negotiations to reach a possible ceasefire with Iran, in a scenario marked by military attacks, tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, and international concern over the economic and energy impact of the conflict.
