International writing.- The U.S. embassy in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, received a new Iranian air attack on Monday night, according to Iraqi security sources.
Missiles and drones were launched against the diplomatic complex from areas near the city without any reported casualties. This attack follows one carried out last Saturday that caused smoke and flames to emerge from the building after the impact of a drone.
From the delegation, located in the so-called Green Zone, activity of its C-RAM air defense system was observed against what were at least five drones, according to international media.
This Monday, the embassy had again alerted U.S. citizens, through its X account, to "leave Iraq immediately due to recurrent attacks by terrorist militias aligned with Iran against U.S. interests."
