Washington.- The Department of War of the United States announced that it will sanction members of the armed forces who have made negative posts or jokes on social media about the assassination of the activist and conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.
The order was issued by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, who asked to identify any Army member who has mocked Kirk's death, according to officials.
It is known that several military personnel have been relieved of their positions due to their opinions on the Kirk case, although the number is unknown, Hegseth would have asked to punish these actions.
In social media, many users have displayed accounts of Army officers who have expressed negative opinions about what happened to the 31-year-old activist last Wednesday when a shot to the neck cost him his life at Utah Valley University, in one of the traditional political discussion events he held to confront young liberals across the country.
