Bonao. - The Universidad Católica del Cibao (UCATECI) held a meeting with journalists and media representatives, where they explained the reasons why the higher education institution decided to establish an academic extension in Bonao.
During the activity, the authorities highlighted that this initiative seeks to facilitate access to university education for hundreds of young people in the province, allowing them to pursue their studies without having to move to other cities, which represents a significant saving for families.
It was highlighted that UCATECI has more than a thousand graduates, and that the project aims to continue expanding educational opportunities for the children of those professionals, with the guarantee of a comprehensive and accessible education.
Likewise, the managers reported that they are working on creating alliances with entrepreneurs, local authorities, and productive sectors, with the aim of managing scholarships and support programs that directly benefit the community of Bonao.
Regarding the academic offer, it was announced that in this first stage, the most in-demand careers in the labor market will be available, and postgraduate and master's programs will be subsequently incorporated, depending on the needs of the population.
The meeting with the press also aimed to strengthen the relationship with the media, recognizing their essential role in guiding citizens and disseminating information that promotes the educational and social development of the province.
