UFHEC graduates 826 new professionals; 62.95% of the graduates were women

La Romana.- The Universidad Federico Henríquez y Carvajal (UFHEC) celebrated its forty-sixth ordinary graduation, where 826 undergraduate and postgraduate professionals received the titles that accredit them to join the productive and social sectors of the Dominican Republic. During the ceremony held at the La Romana Campus, the national rector of UFHEC, Alberto Ramírez, highlighted the commitment of the higher education institution to the training of human talent capable of transforming realities, providing innovative solutions and raising the country's competitiveness. Ramírez announced a transcendental stage in institutional history with the official launch of the Doctorate in Education, a program that positions UFHEC within the fourth level of higher education. He also explained that the doctorate will have an outstanding international teaching staff and an academic structure aligned with global standards.

The keynote speech was delivered by Jorge Antonio Sturla, Vice President of Public Relations at Central Romana, who reflected on the professional challenges of the 21st century. Sturla urged professionals to carry out their role with integrity and responsibility. "The world will ask you to make ethical decisions, to provide real solutions, to build bridges that unify, to work as a team, to adapt quickly and to act with humility." A promotion aligned with the country's needs The composition of the 826 graduates shows a clear focus on key areas for national growth: Industrial Engineering 17.55%, Accounting 17.07%, Clinical Psychology 15.98% and Law 14.16%. These four careers encompassed more than 64% of the graduating class, reinforcing UFHEC's commitment to strategic sectors for economic, social and business development. Likewise, programs such as school guidance, business administration, nursing, and tourism administration are part of the institution's response to the country's priority needs in education, health, and tourism. It is highlighted that 62.95% of the graduates were women, reaffirming female leadership in Dominican higher education.
