Users highlight the usefulness of the ProUsuario mobile application

The Superintendency of Banks (SB) held a meeting with financial users who use the ProUsuario mobile application, in order to learn about their impressions, experiences, and suggestions. With the initiative, the SB sought to open a space for exchange with people who use the tool on a daily basis. The meeting was headed by the Superintendent of Banks, Alejandro Fernández W.; the director of ProUsuario, Natalia Sánchez, and the team that works with the tool, including developers and staff from the areas of attention and financial education. All this within the framework of the celebration of reaching more than 500 thousand subscriptions. One of the users invited to the meeting was Eliazer Reyes, who considers ProUsuario to be one of the best applications of its kind. "It allows you to understand the behavior of your products well and basically visualize everything at a financial level." "My favorite feature of the application is being able to file a claim without having to come in person to the Superintendency," said Stephany Peña, another of the guests. "The application is really good. I like the functionality of being able to decide who can call me and who can't, as well as the fact that I can easily access my credit history and how the bureaus view my finances," added Rafael Pérez. In the meeting, Superintendent Alejandro Fernández W. took the opportunity to emphasize that users of financial services are a priority for the SB. In that sense, the application represents one of the most valuable efforts for the benefit of people with financial products. "It is a tangible asset that generates value and will prevail over time. Our dream was that users could carry ProUsuario in their pocket," he said. Similarly, the director of ProUsuario Natalia Sánchez, assured that the institution has placed great emphasis on offering solutions tailored to people's needs. "We want to have functionalities that help them in making financial decisions, that support their empowerment processes and that are constantly useful to them," she pointed out. Likewise, the Deputy Manager of Regulation and Innovation, Yulianna Ramón, highlighted the regulatory initiatives that the SB has promoted in recent years for the protection of the interests of users. As the Director of Innovation and Financial Inclusion, Inés Páez, emphasized the constant improvements that the programming team applies, so that the tool adapts to the needs of those who use it. Specifically, he said that they are working on allowing the cancellation of promotional calls from financial intermediation entities to landlines, while developing functionalities designed for companies. What else can be done through the app? In addition to filing claims, the application offers the possibility of consulting credit history, verifying the existence of inactive or abandoned accounts, viewing a comparison of personal debt levels in relation to similar profiles, and verifying if you have deposits in entities that are in liquidation or dissolution. Similarly, it has the Banking Map, which allows you to locate branches, ATMs and sub-agents throughout the country; and a functionality to request exclusion from the call lists of financial institutions if you wish to avoid receiving offers of new products. The platform also has an educational content space that addresses topics of relevance to users of financial services.
