By decree number 2-26, President Luis Abinader, appointed Pedro Porfirio Urrutia Sangiovanni as the general director of the General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII), replacing Luis Valdez Veras.
Urrutia Sangiovanni is a certified public accountant, with a master's degree in Tax Law and Fiscal Advisory.
He is a founding partner of the firm Moore ULA and has participated in the elaboration and revision of legal frameworks related to the country's tax and corporate system.

Urrutia Sangiovanni is part of the new appointments announced by the president, who informed that with these assignments the Government begins a new stage of transformation to continue improving the quality of life of Dominicans.
