Santo Domingo.- Alfonsa María Urbáez, 27 years old, requests a helping hand to be able to afford her Lupus medications.
The young woman has suffered from systemic lupus erythematosus since the age of ten, and for 16 years she has also been facing type 3 lupus nephritis, a complication that has affected her left kidney.

“Y las condiciones que duermo no son humanas realmente, porque estoy durmiendo en el piso, y yo no quiero dinero, solo quiero ayuda con mis medicamentos”,
expresó la joven.
Alfonsa has been unemployed for two months, was evicted from her home for lack of payment and is now living at a neighbor’s house in Santo Domingo Este in very poor conditions. In addition, she lost her scooter, which is her other source of income and needs urgent help to continue her treatment.
