Santo Domingo. – On the occasion of the celebration of
Mother's Day, the
Juventud por Mi Barrio Foundation and the
Centro Cristiano EINSOF held a solidarity day at the
Dr. Reynaldo Almánzar Maternity Hospital, where they shared with dozens of admitted mothers and provided them with spiritual and emotional support.
The activity was led by the president of the Juventud por Mi Barrio Foundation, engineer Wilmer Figuereo, along with pastors Pedro Fernández and Indra Díaz de Fernández, leaders of the EINSOF Christian Center.
During the day, gifts were given to mothers who are hospitalized for various health conditions, as well as to women who recently gave birth. In addition, moments of prayer, praise, and reflections based on the Word of God were held, with the purpose of bringing a message of hope, strength, and faith on such a special date.
The organizers pointed out that the initiative seeks to remind mothers that, even in the midst of difficulties, there is always hope and that God is in control of every situation they face.
They also thanked the medical and administrative staff of the Dr. Reynaldo Almánzar Maternity Hospital for their support in the development of the activity, highlighting the willingness of the center's authorities to make the meeting possible.
Engineer Wilmer Figuereo urged churches, community organizations, and citizens to join these types of social actions, promoting values of solidarity, love for neighbor, and service to those who need it most.
"We must continue to bring hope and support to people going through difficult times. Small gestures can make a big difference in the lives of those facing health or vulnerability situations," he expressed.
Upon concluding the activity, pastors Pedro Fernández and Indra Díaz de Fernández thanked God for the opportunity to positively impact the lives of the beneficiary mothers and reiterated their commitment to continue developing initiatives that contribute to the spiritual and social well-being of the communities.
