Musk lashes out at Trump and says that without his support "he would have lost the elections" in the U.S.

Washington.- The tech magnate Elon Musk accused his former ally, the U.S. president, Donald Trump, of showing "ingratitude" and said that without his support, he "would have lost the elections" that brought him back to the White House.

"Without me, Trump would have lost the election, the Democrats would have controlled the House of Representatives, and the Republicans would have remained at 51-49 in the Senate," Musk posted on the social network X, which he owns.

The richest man in the world, who spent at least 250 million dollars on the campaign to re-elect Trump, showed his displeasure in response to the words of the president this Thursday, who expressed how "disappointed" he is with the South African for his comments against his controversial fiscal and budgetary plan, now under debate in the Senate.

Shortly after, in the same conversation on X, Musk wrote "what ingratitude" in the face of the perplexity of his millions of followers, who asked the platform's artificial intelligence bot Grok what was happening.

What triggered the disagreement between the former close collaborators was the bill called by Trump as 'Great and beautiful bill', which according to estimates by the Congressional Budget Office will increase the country's debt by 2.4 trillion dollars over the next decade.
