Falling of ceiling in La Fiesta Theater does not affect event schedule

Santo Domingo. – An acoustic panel from the ceiling of the La Fiesta Theater came loose on the night of Wednesday, June 25, during the celebration of an event, without any injuries or significant material damage being reported, according to the administration of the venue.

The incident occurred in the midst of a structural renovation project that includes the replacement of acoustic panels, as part of an overall modernization plan initiated at the end of 2024.

Despite the scare, activities at the theater continue to take place as normal. The administration assured that the highest safety standards are maintained to ensure the well-being of attendees and staff. "The safety of our guests, clients, and collaborators is and will continue to be our main priority," stated the official statement issued this Thursday. The theater management thanked the audience for their understanding and reiterated their commitment to providing a safe and welcoming environment while improvement work progresses.
