Santo Domingo.– The Dominican government, through the National Institute of Student Welfare (INABIE), began the delivery of school supplies to students whose families were affected by the recent rains in different communities of the country.
In the Los Ríos sector, about a hundred students received school kits as part of this action, coordinated with authorities from the República de Costa Rica Educational Center, the Parents, Mothers, Guardians and Friends of the School Association (Apmae) and the families.
The delivery benefited students from Cuba, La 800, La Esperanza, Juan Valdez and Puerto Rico.
The CEO of INABIE, Adolfo Pérez, highlighted that these actions are part of an immediate response plan that will progressively extend to other affected areas, with the aim of ensuring the continuity of the educational process.
In addition to the replacement of the equipment, the institution arranged a School Health operation with physical and psychological evaluations, as part of the comprehensive approach to student care.
The delivered kits contain uniforms, backpacks, notebooks, footwear, and other essential learning materials.
