Members of the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM) of the National Police arrested 26 people linked to different criminal acts, within the framework of operations carried out in the last 24 hours, in which three undocumented firearms were also seized.
In Boca Chica, Edwin Encarnación Santana (a) El Enano, 18 years old, was arrested, and a Taurus PT 92 pistol, 9mm caliber, serial TYC67032, with its magazine and four cartridges, was seized from him, without legal documentation.
While in San Francisco de Macorís, Franklin Almanzar was arrested, and a 9mm caliber pistol of illegible brand and serial number was seized from him, along with its magazine and five bullets.
In another incident, Pedro Pablo Figueroa was arrested in possession of an Ekol Firat Compact pistol, 9mm caliber, serial number V2IEKCBYS03-2302703, with its magazine and four cartridges.
The detainees, along with the weapons and other evidence, were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry for the corresponding legal purposes.
