Putin on a conspiracy against the U.S.: "Trump has a sense of humor"

Russian President Vladímir Putin said today that his US counterpart, Donald Trump, "has a sense of humor" after the latter suggested a conspiracy against his country by China, Russia and North Korea. "The US president has a sense of humor. That's clear, everyone knows it. We have a good relationship. We use the informal 'you' with each other," he said at a press conference at the end of his visit to China. Putin added: "Although it may seem strange, in these four days during the negotiations in different formats, including informal ones, no one ever made any negative comment about the current US Administration." Furthermore, he emphasized: "all my interlocutors, without exception, precisely all, supported our meeting in Anchorage", Alaska. And they all expressed their hope that the stance of Trump, Russia and the rest of the participants in the talks would lead "to the end of the armed conflict". Trump asserted last night on his social network Truth Social that he was "very disappointed" with the Russian leader and insinuated that Russia, China, and North Korea were conspiring "against the United States of America". "He again said, not without irony, that supposedly these three are plotting a conspiracy against the United States. I mean, nobody plotted any conspiracy, nobody wove any plot," commented Yuri Ushakov, international advisor to the head of the Kremlin, previously to Russian public television. The diplomat added: "Moreover, it didn't even cross anyone's mind, not one of the three leaders."

Ushakov highlighted that "everyone is aware of the role played by the U.S. and the current Administration of the president and personally Trump in the current international landscape" and insisted that the greetings he conveyed on his social media to the troika of leaders was nothing more than a sarcastic comment.
