Javier Roces' missile takes down Salcedo's undefeated streak and puts Cibao FC in sole leadership (1-0)

SANTIAGO. – A great goal by Javier Roces defined the match and Cibao FC took away the undefeated status from Salcedo FC by winning 1-0, to remain alone at the top of the Dominican Football League (LDF 2025-2026), in matchday 8 played on Saturday night at the stadium of the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. Salcedo FC remained with 15. The decisive goal came in the 61st minute: Roces unleashed a thunderbolt that entered like a missile into the visiting goal, leaving goalkeeper Cristian Severino with no answer and unleashing the euphoria of the orange fans who packed the stadium. Salcedo FC "sold the defeat dearly" and remained insistent on the rival goal, but Miguel Lloyd once again stood as a wall, stopping every attempt that reached his territory.
