Washington. – U.S. President Donald Trump approved a 28-point plan aimed at promoting a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine, NBC News reported on Wednesday. According to the media, the document was prepared by senior officials of the US Administration during the last few weeks and includes a series of proposals aimed at reducing tensions, establishing security mechanisms, and creating conditions for a definitive cessation of the conflict. The report indicates that the proposal was developed in coordination with the special envoy of the Russian Presidency, Kiril Dmitriev, as well as with Ukrainian authorities, in an effort to ensure that the parties involved were informed and could contribute to the design of the plan.

Although the specific details of the document have not been disclosed, sources consulted by NBC News stated that the main objective is to "accelerate a realistic path to peace" and avoid a prolongation of the conflict, which continues to generate serious humanitarian, economic, and security consequences in the region.

The White House has not yet issued an official statement on the content of the plan or the next steps in the diplomatic process, but the initiative is expected to be formally presented to both parties in the coming days. The conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which began in February 2022, has left thousands dead, millions displaced, and a deep geopolitical crisis. The approval of this plan represents one of the most significant efforts of the Trump Administration to reactivate peace negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv.
