Trump will back the shipment of chips to China through Nvidia

Donald Trump announced this Monday that he allowed the American technology company Nvidia to send some of its chips to China and other countries, strengthening the manufacturing industry and benefiting American taxpayers. "I have informed China's President Xi that the United States will allow Nvidia to ship its H200 products to approved customers in China and other countries, under conditions that allow for strong national security. President Xi responded positively!" he wrote on his Truth Social account. According to the American president, 25% of the profits obtained from the sale of the chips will go to the United States, which will support employment, strengthen the manufacturing industry, and benefit the country's taxpayers.

In this context, Trump criticized the policy of his predecessor, Joe Biden, regarding the supply of American chips. "The Biden Administration forced our great companies to spend billions of dollars on creating 'degraded' products that nobody wanted, a terrible idea that slowed down innovation and harmed the American worker. That era is over! We will protect national security, create American jobs, and maintain U.S. leadership in AI", he stated.

At the same time, the president indicated that the most advanced chips from the Rubin and Blackwell companies are not part of the agreement. Trump communicated that the Department of Commerce is finalizing the details of this new policy and added that the same approach will be applied to other American technology companies, such as AMD and Intel.
