Clinton in a jacuzzi, parties with Jagger and Jackson featured in Epstein files

Washington.- The Department of Justice of the U.S. released this Friday thousands of files from the case of the pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, including images of former President Bill Clinton reclining in a jacuzzi and photographs of the deceased financier with figures from the entertainment world such as Mick Jagger and Michael Jackson. In one of the images released by the Department of Justice (DOJ), Clinton appears relaxed in a jacuzzi, with his arms behind his head, accompanied by another person whose face was censored. White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt was among the first to share the photograph on her X account, where she reacted with a message of amazement: "Oh my God!". The declassified documents include at least five other images of the former Democratic president. In two of them he appears with Epstein and in others he is seen at a party with the British singer-songwriter Mick Jagger, without the presence of the financier in the latter. The U.S. Justice Department released a total of 3,965 files, with an approximate size of 3 gigabytes, divided into four new datasets.

Most are PDF documents, as well as a video file and several individual images, some of them integrated into multi-page files. Authorities emphasized that the sensitive nature of the case has forced a review and censorship of each document to protect private information and the identity of the victims. Therefore, experts and observers warn that the complete publication of the files may not provide substantial new elements about Epstein's network of relationships, who died by suicide in prison, according to the authorities, after being convicted of sexual abuse and prostitution of minors. Trump, who was initially reluctant to endorse the disclosure of the documents, ended up signing the law after noting the broad support of Congress. The president is mentioned on several occasions in the files related to Epstein, of whom he was a friend before claiming to have broken off relations in 2004, years before the first formal accusation against the financier. For his part, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche warned this Friday that it will not be possible to publish all the documents required by law at once due to their volume, and anticipated that the Department of Justice plans to release "several hundred thousand more" files in the coming weeks.
