SDE Mayor shares Christmas Eve dinner with homeless people

Santo Domingo Este. - With a gesture of closeness and social commitment, the mayor of Santo Domingo Este, Dío Astacio shared the traditional Christmas Eve dinner with people living on the streets of the municipality, as part of a solidarity action that has already become a constant during Christmas.

The meeting took place on the boulevard of Las Américas Avenue with Sabana Larga, a point where every year it gathers dozens of citizens to bring them food and a message of hope. Accompanied by his wife, Evelin García de Astacio, the mayor spoke closely with the attendees, listening to their stories and sharing the table in an atmosphere of respect and humanity.

During dinner, typical dishes of Dominican Christmas Eve were distributed, reaffirming the value of sharing and the importance of not leaving anyone out on dates so significant for families.
