The illegally seized oil from Venezuela will be kept in the hands of Washington and could eventually be incorporated into the U.S. strategic reserve, U.S. President Donald Trump announced this Monday.
"We are going to keep it. We are going to keep it," the president responded after being asked by the press about the fate of the nearly 1.9 million barrels of Venezuelan crude oil that two tankers were transporting, which were assaulted by military forces and transported to US ports in the Caribbean Sea.
When asked to specify, Trump was more ambiguous in his response and stated that he was also considering placing it on the international market: "Maybe we'll sell it. Maybe we'll keep it. Maybe we'll use it in the strategic reserves. We're going to keep it. We're also keeping the ships," he said. You may be interested in: http://Trump announces the construction of two new warships
