Santo Domingo.— A National Police agent was injured during an attempted robbery in the Los Mameyes sector of Santo Domingo Este, hospital sources and the victim's family reported.
According to family members, the officer was shot by two unknown individuals who tried to take his service weapon. After the attack, the agent was taken to the Darío Contreras hospital, where he received medical attention for the injuries sustained.
